The situation was so unclear that you did not know what would happen next. she did not know where to turn. If  she went back home to Austria  and would say  the father of her childw as a Frenchman, she  would probably  also have difficulties , because she would be denounced as a traitor.

Alex had a proposal: quit your job as soon as possible, travel to Kufstein,  bring there the child to the world, and register the baby as his child. He would confirm it.
And that's exactly what Christine then did . She traveled to Kufstein and gave birth to the child. She  named the girl Maria, Mary. The child's mother was Christine Stoeckl, Austrian, the child's father was Alex Meissl, Austrian, currently residing in Paris.

Die Lage war so unklar, daß man nicht wußte, was demnächst passieren würde. Sie wüßte nicht mehr ein noch aus. Wenn sie nach Hause ginge und den Vater des Kindes als Franzosen angäbe, hätte sie in der Heimat vermutlich auch Schwierigkeiten, weil sie als Volksverräterin angeprangert würde.

   Alex hatte einen Vorschlag: Sie solle sobald wie möglich kündigen, nach Kufstein reisen, dort das Kind zur Welt bringen, und sie könnte getrost ihn als den Vater des Kindes angeben. Er würde es bestätigen.

Und genau das machte Christine dann auch. Sie reiste nach Kufstein und bekam das Kind. Sie taufte das Mädchen Maria. Die Kindesmutter war Christine Stöckl, Österreicherin, Kindesvater Alex Meissl, Österreicher, derzeit wohnhaft in Paris.
