Many, many young people were swept away by Hitler's fanaticism. It was for them the new faith, the new doctrine. My cousin Horst had for years kept an oppressive document It is a long letter which his mother had received from a friend in 1937.
In this letter she reports from a huge German Foklore Festival in Breslau. The friend was able to grab Adolf Hitler’s hand, they both broke out in emotional tears.
This letter is in German language, I would be pleased if someone would translate it.
